Description
“The study of light.” That’s the definition of photography. It took me years to figure out what that actually meant and more importantly how to use light to connect the viewer to my work. Sometimes light just happens or other times I can wait for hours or revisit a place several times over years until the light is right.
This image was taken late one afternoon in Sri Lanka. We saw about 300 elephants that afternoon – it was truly magical. I loved how the light was falling and the elephants just happened to wander into it making the image work.
