Description
When travelling through Norway it is impossible not to notice how breathtaking the land is, especially in the Lofoten Islands where I was. The other thing that struck me was how involved the Norwegians are with the outdoors. They love nature and being immersed in it.
Upon my return I started researching more and more and I came across the Norwegian expression “friluftsliv” which literally translates to “free air life.” But its cultural connotations go far beyond any English approximation. It refers to uplifting ambience and the Norwegian outdoor dynamic with nature. I thought this was a fitting name for an image that shows the epic nature of the landscape.
