Description
I have visited many countries in my life and India has always been very high on my list. I must say I wasn’t sure what to expect other than the organised chaos that this part of the world can bring.
We are currently in Vrindavan, a town in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is the site where, according to Hinduism, Lord Krishna spent his childhood days. The town is about 11 km away from Mathura, Krishna’s birthplace on the Agra-Delhi highway where we spent today wandering around the township getting sprayed with colour for the Holi Celebration.
India presents some incredible photographic challenges and the competitive side of me always wants to challenge myself to get the best shots I can. I love my job and the places it takes me but most of all I love partaking in ancient rituals in foreign countries that mean so much to the people who celebrate them.
