Shadow & Light is an exhibition 15 years in the making. It’s a snapshot of Glenn McKimmin’s 15-year professional career spent mastering when the moment is ripe to take a photo. The photographs selected from Glenn’s portfolio celebrate the basic principles of photography – shadow and light – highlighting how vital the understanding of these two elements is when forming the foundation of a successful photograph.
Glenn says of the exhibition: “Shadow and light are what I look for when creating a photograph; it’s the basis of photography and understanding how it works makes all the difference when choosing the right moment to hit the shutter.”
Glenn McKimmin has established a trademark photographic style shaped by time training with industry legends and traveling to some of the most incredible locations on the planet for work. One of the greatest influencers of his career is his uncle – panoramic landscape photographer Ken Duncan.
As a lifelong supporter of the natural world, Glenn wants his photography to connect with his audience, highlighting a forgotten innocence that can still be found in nature. Through photography, he hopes to encourage us to take better care of the breathtaking world right under our feet, as we never know when it might be ripped from beneath us.
“Photography was created to print. I am excited to see my images in print and to take people on a journey into the world as I see it.”
All photographs on display will be available to purchase as limited edition prints.
