Why This Workshop is Unique?

You’ll stay in hand-picked boutique hotels, unwind in wellness spas, enjoy refined Slovenian cuisine, and travel comfortably between locations all while chasing winter’s most dramatic light.
Every detail is handled for you so your only focus is creativity and storytelling.

Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival in the Alpine Pearl
We travel to Lake Bled and settle into our beautiful 4-star hotel, chosen for its prime location and wellness facilities. We spend the afternoon easing into the atmosphere, perhaps enjoying the thermal swimming pool and spa to relax after the journey. As evening falls, we capture the blue hour from the terrace, watching the lights of the castle reflect on the dark water. After, we enjoy our first fine dining experience at the hotel, where modern Slovenian cuisine is paired with excellent local wines.
Day 2: Icons of Bled and Frozen Valleys
We photograph the iconic sunrise over Lake Bled, aiming to capture the island church as it emerges from the morning shadows. Those who want can walk up to the Ojstrica viewpoint for elevated views of the lake against the Karavanke mountains. Midday, we travel into the Vrata Valley in Triglav National Park to witness winter at its best. We photograph Peričnik Waterfall, which often freezes into a magnificent curtain of blue ice and icicles. We end the day driving to the hilltop church of Jamnik, where we capture the sunset illuminating the church against a dramatic mountain backdrop, followed by a refined dinner near the lake.
Day 3: Mystical Bohinj and High Peaks
We visit Lake Bohinj early in the morning to capture the mists rising from the water near the famous stone bridge and the Church of St. John the Baptist. We can take a cable car up to Mount Vogel. Here, we photograph the Julian Alps from high above, surrounded by deep snow and silence.
After a day in the fresh alpine air, we return to Bled for a diverse culinary experience, enjoying wild game or freshwater fish at a top-rated restaurant known for its boutique ambiance.
Day 4: The Emerald River Contrast
We venture to the Soča River valley to capture the stark contrast of the emerald-colored river against white snow and ice. We travel through the stunning winter landscape, possibly taking the scenic route via Italy or the motorail train to access the valley. We stop to photograph the river winding through the white canyon and look for frozen waterfalls near the town of Bovec. This day is a true adventure into the heart of the mountains, concluded with a relaxing evening at our hotel spa and another exceptional dinner featuring regional specialties.
Day 5: The Masterpiece and The Capital
We check out and drive towards the rolling hills to photograph one of Slovenia's most famous sights: the church of Sveti Tomaž. We wait for the morning light to hit the hilltop church while the valley below often remains hidden in fog and the distant Alps shine in the sun. Next, we travel to Ljubljana, the charming capital. We check into a boutique hotel in the city center and spend the afternoon exploring the safe, pedestrian-friendly old town, photographing the Dragon Bridge and the riverbanks before a sophisticated dinner in the city.
Day 6: Sunrise over the hilltop churches
We might venture to the nearby hills at the edge of the Ljubljana for a scenic sunrise, where another hilltop church becomes our subject against a backdrop of mist and mountains. Returning to the city, we explore the historic streets and architecture on foot, capturing the vibrant atmosphere of the markets and the castle. The trip culminates with a farewell fine dining experience at the Ljubljana olt town, celebrating our journey with exquisite food and wine overlooking the city lights.
Day 7: Departure
We enjoy a final leisurely breakfast at our hotel before our private transfer takes us to Ljubljana Airport, ending our exclusive winter tour.
